Nova Watt
Foot Health Practitioner
My journey into podiatry began 10 years ago, thanks to my aunt, a podiatrist, who invited me to assist in a year-long trial clinic focused on treating plantar fasciitis. It was during this time that I discovered my passion for foot health.
Originally from North London, my family relocated to Kinross, a beautiful town outside Edinburgh, when I was just two years old. Growing up surrounded by nature, I spent my childhood exploring the outdoors and helping with farm chores, like bringing in the cows for milking. These early experiences fostered my love for caring for others.
Before finding my place in podiatry, I explored careers in hospitality, the music industry, and sales. While they were valuable experiences, I never quite felt like I had found my calling. After the birth of my son 20 years ago, I decided to pursue a different path and attended night school to study Massage Therapy. Helping others heal and reduce their stress was incredibly fulfilling.
My interest in podiatry was sparked when my aunt introduced me to the world of foot care. I began working with specialised massage techniques and strapping for foot-related issues, which I found deeply rewarding. Encouraged by my aunt, I pursued a diploma in Foot Health at the SMAE Institute and became a qualified Foot Health Specialist 8 years ago.
Today, I focus on treating a wide range of general foot health concerns. Continuous learning is a passion of mine—there’s always more to discover in the field of podiatry. I take pride in my caring nature and strive to make every patient feel supported.
I love to spend time with my family and cooking hearty meals for us all. The daring part of me gets a kick out of mountain biking on all terrains but I also enjoy walking my dog Suki.
Working at Walk This Way Podiatry aligns with my values. The clinic’s ethos of care, positivity, and support creates a perfect environment for me to grow and help others.
