As allied healthcare providers, our service to our patients will always require close contact; it is important that we work together to minimise the risk of spreading any illness. Therefore, we have put the following procedures in place to ensure you feel safe and confident during your appointment with us.
As patients and visitors to the clinic, we politely ask that you:
• Return to England from overseas please refrain from attending the clinic for 14 days from the date of your return
• If you have been in direct contact with someone confirmed to have COVID-19 or are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, please do not attend our clinic / your appointment. In either of these cases, please call us and we will either reschedule your appointment for a later date or, in some cases, we can organise a telehealth online consultation
• Use of hand sanitiser or wash hands on arrival and departure
• Wear a face mask during your visit
• We have closed our reception area to reduce contact with you and therefore, at this time we are unable to provide tea / coffee and magazines
• We request that you arrive at your appointment time and not before. Your podiatrist will collect you from your car or please wait outside if you walked to the clinic
• Where possible, please come to your appointment alone, unless you have a carer or are under 16
• Our admin team will be protected by sneeze screens and face shields in reception
• We are keeping doors open as much as possible to ensure minimal contact, while maintaining privacy
• Our Podiatrists will be wearing full PPE when they treat you, this is to protect you as well as them
• While we have always cleaned our treatment rooms between clients, we have now allowed 10 minutes between clients in order to fully decontaminate the space
We believe that this has created the safest environment possible for all of our clients to get the treatment they require. If you have any questions or queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.
The team at Walk This Way Podiatry are looking forward to welcoming you and more importantly – getting your feet sorted!
Warmest wishes,
