Jennifer Osijo
MCPod BSc (Hons)
My love for podiatry started when I was a little girl. My mother tells me I was fascinated by how people moved and walked. Medicine runs in the family, and I have always wanted to help others feel better.
My first job after graduating was with the NHS. I worked there for twenty years and combined it with part-time work in private practice. These roles allowed me to develop my skills in several podiatry specialisms, including Rheumatology, Orthopaedics and Sports Injuries Management. After doing a post-graduate in the latter, I have focused my work on MSK Podiatry (Musculoskeletal Podiatry) for the last 16 years.
I’m proactive and determined and always strive to improve my capabilities. Working at Walk This Way is very rewarding as its philosophy and ethos align with my personal values. We endeavour to help patients improve their foot health and, in doing so, their quality of life. Moreover, I absolutely love my team — they are incredibly inspiring.
Outside work, I’m mum to three gorgeous girls who keep me extremely busy. When I get time to myself, I enjoy reading Forensic pathology books. I also love running. I ran a couple of half marathons, but a knee injury has prevented me from carrying on. So, instead, I love an energetic country walk.
